Vintage Sunflowers...

Welcome to my last post for 2012!
As the majority of my posts have had a vintage twist
since I first started the blog in March,
I thought I'd finish off this year with a few
vintage poppy and sunflower shots taken,
 as always, in our bedroom!

On one of my little root-arounds at the Homebarn
I fell in love with these oil canvases.
I usually follow my instinct and buy on the spur of the moment,
but sometimes I let things slip through the net-
a Victorian glazed wall cabinet for the kitchen;
a 1950s side table with metal legs and formica top
 for I don't know where, but who cares;
 and these lovely paintings.

They've now been sold and I so wish I'd bought one-
at least I have these shots to remind me...
Have a fantastic New Year-thanks a million for
your support in 2012
and I wish you all a happy and healthy 2013 x

 Christmas Post!

I want to wish you all a wonderful, happy and peaceful Christmas.
Thank you so much to all my loyal readers
who return week after week from all over the world-
I'm blown away and really do appreciate
every lovely message that's left for me.

It's been a fantastic 9 months,
of hard graft with my DSLR, filling the house with 'stuff and sticks'
 (Jon's reached his limit now!)
I'm still getting to grips with anything remotely technical,
but it's been amazing to meet you all-
inspiring, creative, sharing and supportive friends.
Happy Christmas xxx

It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas!!...

At last the tree is up and the kids are happy!
I love the build up to Christmas-
rooting around the loft for dusty decorations that I swore
I'd sort out properly for next time
and lights tangled up in bags that were going
to be neatly wound round card as soon as I took them off the tree!

This year I have a few glass baubles,
 a beautiful feather wreath,
 gingerbread biscuits for the tree
and gorgeous vintage cake moulds to create
a bit of a festive post.
I hope you like it! x

Inspired by...

Simple things...

Just a few shots of everyday things,
from tools and string , to leaves and packaging...
I love simple things like interesting
 swing tickets and packaging-
there's a little pile of them growing at
my desk and on the floor!

Time to tidy it all up ready for Christmas
and give everyone the chance to
walk where they like without tripping over
my bits and bobs!

Have a lovely week
getting ready for the holidays x

A detail from my garage shoot in the Summer

And a quick behind the scenes shot of the mess that lay on our floor for at least 4 weeks!!
