Hedgerow Foraging

There's nothing nicer when Spring arrives, than to decorate your home with flowers gathered on woodland walks or just picked from the garden.

We live in a quiet close of 1960's properties, where the kids can play safely out front all day long and mums sometimes sit with a glass of wine or two and watch! The gardens have sprung to life and over the past few days been subjected to rain, hail storms and early morning frost, so it seemed like a good time to pick a few to enjoy inside.

I used the vintage French enamel jug to collect the flowers as I went along. Try using alternative containers to make displays and remember, sometimes the simpler, the better....!

  1. Hi Caroline, really like the different vessels you've used especially the enamel jug..I've just discovered enamel and bought a few falcon enamelware pie plates recently who I've just read on their website are a british icon! Your neighbourhood sounds lovely so nice for the children and the mothers. Catherine x

  4. Love these hedgerow bouquets Caroline. The informality of such arrangements works really well with more formal flowers too!

    1. Thanks Ursula! Am trying out a few other much smaller displays, but may be a while due to my in-expertise (is that a word?!) with the camera!!

  5. Oh how I wish I lived further from the city so I could pick flowers. I would get in trouble if I picked any of the flowers close to our home. (A gardener or two might want my head hehe)
