behind the scenes...
on location...
at mapesbury road, nw2.
Wow-some places and their owners simply blow you away. Love vintage or not, you cannot help but be seriously impressed by the attention to detail in the home of super-stylist Marianne Cotterill. Used as a location house for film and stills, Marianne's totally individual go-for-it approach to interior design and styling is a result of many years scouring car boots, jumble sales and salvage yards. She just simply has the knack of spying the beauty in everything and is not afraid to mix and match to a level way beyond most people's radar. Of course, her stunning 6 bedroom late Victorian home not only makes the perfect surroundings, but positively enhances her eclectic mix of vintage and modern.
From early 20th Century, art deco, mid century, to contemporary, if Marianne likes it, she will use it and it will look good. A lady who inspires other stylists without really trying-she just is what she is, down to earth and oh so talented. Brilliant!
Here are a few of my little instagram shots from our shoot at Mapesbury Road last week. Take a look at the full house portfolio and Marianne's beautiful website at the end of the post!
important-this is my pre-shoot mess and not marianne's!
What an absolutely beautiful home! I am so inspired by this. What a lovely space to do a shoot! xD
ReplyDeleteLove Marianne and her home - one of the loveliest stylists in the biz and will never forget all her fabulous work over the years....she also makes that extra effort without complaint and such a creative soul - I know this sounds a bit gushy, but I genuinely love her work and style :)
