murmur a/w15...
I was recently sent some lovely photography from brand new home and lifestyle brand 'Murmur'. I loved the look of their products and gorgeous muted palette, so I thought I'd share it with you!
Designed under the UK's leading bedding and bath brand Bedeck, the range has been put together by Bedeck's head of design Julie Hall. Formerly a freelance fashion artist in London and New York, Julie moved back to Ireland in the 1980's where she became involved in the traditional linen industry, helping to move it forward in the design and development of contemporary linen products. Moving to Bedeck as head of design in 2006, she has now established a dynamic in-house creative studio, also responsible for their other licenced brands, including Harlequin and Designer's Guild-quite an achievement. And if this wasn't enough, Julie still finds time to paint, walk and is training to become a yoga teacher!
Murmur is Bedeck's first homeware collection, designed in-house, with pieces crafted and sourced from Portugal to Thailand. The comprehensive range showcases a combination of modern and rustic, in ceramics, glassware, kitchen textiles and accessories, bedlinen, towels, soft furnishings, basketware, stationery and even fragrance.
The colour palette is soft and natural, with materials such as sea grass, ash, acacia wood, wool and linen, all working beautifully together to produce a hand crafted look which I really love. The range launches on September 10th 2015 and will be available from the following retailers:
selected Fenwicks and Bentalls department stores
Prices range from £4 for the stem napkins, £6 for small speckle bowls, £7.50 for Acacia spoons, from £17 for the Dune bedlinen, £35 for the Bud Grey cushion and £85 for a pinstripe robe.
