Faded Glory...
I have always found it hard throwing flowers away.
My friend Tish commented on the fact (in a nice way!),
that there are as many dead flowers
around the house as living.
Looking around today, I'd say there are actually
more dead than living.
If they're not still in vases or containers,
they're probably attached to postcards,
hanging on the wall or even from an empty frame.
Anyway, today's shots are simply
of the flowers themselves-no props, no styling.
I hope you like them!
they are beautiful. especially the last two. and the first. and everything in between :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a million Petra!! :-))
DeleteI love them Caroline - my fave is 3&4 - and loads more like Petra.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous:)
Hope you have a fab week sweets,
Axx
Thank you so much lovely-as always. Have a wonderful week too-lots of trade fairs to get through over here! Xx
DeleteI like anything with seed pods! Your post made me laugh (not in a bad way!) because I spent a little of Sunday photographing 'dead' things from the garden - yup - seed pods. They have such a delicate volume to them - like your collapsed rose - and just a hint of their previous puffed up marvelousness. Have a good week Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI love that cari-Jane-previous puffed up marvellousness-fantastic!! I agree, there's something even more beautiful and inspiring about dried flowers. Have a great week as well :-))
Deletelovely styling and photography :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Geraldine! :-)
DeleteLove the colour, shape and texture of the flowers in your photos Caroline. Haven't told you yet I love your new little about me photo, very nice.
ReplyDeleteCatherine xx
Thank yo so much lovely! This is when I wish I was on your side of the world-Autumn is really on it's way now-it's so dark in the mornings already!! Have a great rest of the week! :-) xx
DeleteThey're gorgeous! Do you know what the flowers in your fourth picture are called? I love them to bits :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Leonie! I'd like to say cow parsley-but I think not? Will try and check with someone-they're just from the hedgerows! :-)
DeleteBeautiful! I like dead flowers, I find them sooooo romantic. Of course, I adore fresh flowers, but they can never be as nostalgic as the dried up ones, don't you find?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
