behind the scenes...garage shoot with Surface View...
As the saying goes, 'when the cat's away, the mice will play!'
Jon took his little TR4 to work in the glorious sunshine we've been having recently,
which meant I could sneak into the garage
with just a few bits and bobs to shoot!
Back in January I asked Surface View to provide two
of their products for my You Magazine Vintage Botanicals shoot.
Today I'd like to show you their gorgeous
birch ply print with George Forster's botanical drawing,
painted during Cook's second voyage between 1772 and 1775.
You can choose to have your favourite design
on a variety of backgrounds, from canvas, prints and posters,
to murals, tiles, wall hangings and stickers.

behind the scenes-in the garage, with the neighbour's rusty old drain cover too. Jon was not amused! |
I personally LOVE the inclusion of the rusty drain frame / cover thing! Also, the leather stool! Very cool. Beautiful composition (pin, pin, pin) :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a million cari-jane-I agree, you really can't go wrong with a rusty drain cover ;-)
DeleteI had seen a little sneak peak already on Instagram but love the whole story here. My favorite piece is the leather stool! Ah, and the (what a color) green task lamp! xx
ReplyDeleteThankyou lovely-I found the stool in our local charity shop so cheap!! xx
DeleteHello love, Could i please move into your garage amongst all these amazing treasures :) Loving it. Glad to hear the sun is shining on you too, here is amazing and lovely and warm. Happy weekend love, see you soon,

Hi gorgeous-it would be a pleasure to have you in our garage!!!! ;-) xx
DeleteOh you've got me here! I admired your gorgeous photos on pinterest but I thought that it was one you had in your collection but no! Now for all of options they give you, it couldn't be more timely! In our new house our only option was to put the TV on the wall in a purpose built space so my latest project is to find a wall hanging to hide the ugly TV - this might be it! Love your styling Caroline and your shoots in the garage! Have a lovely weekend:) M x
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with your new home Mel, but I know it will be stunning! Thanks for your such lovely comment! xx
DeleteI love the entire palette, Caroline! I think we will see a lot more green & blue in the next seasons!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Igor-it was all a bit accidental, but I'm pleased with how the colours came out!! :-)
DeleteLoving you lush green plants appearing in all your shots, each with their unique effect! See you soon ... did you say Sat the 6th would work? Txx
ReplyDeleteTnank you lovely. I'll chase Jo again on Monday-either 6 or 7th depending on whether she's free or not. (SUndays always nicer to drive into town)-sorry for being a bit vague! xx
DeleteBeautiful props and beautiful shots. Like Gudy, saw snippets on Instagram but great to see it all as a whole. Happy week xx
ReplyDeleteLove the green lamp and the green vase Caroline, beautiful colours and shapes. I'm with Igor - green is back on the up it seems. Lovely seeing you at Dulux the other day love - have you painted your nails white yet?
ReplyDeleteI kind of want to move in to this house....
